Spring is a collegiate track athlete at a local University. She's a hurdler and all around great athlete. Her story is pretty interesting. She moved here from Africa when she was 2 years old. Her name is very interesting as well (you'll have to ask her if you ever meet her). She's very energetic, positive, and upbeat young lady. During the session the wind was pretty strong and created havoc for my two assistants. When we put up the translucent material for the silhouette, the wind blew it off the roll and almost knocked the stands over. Then when we did the 3 light setup, I didn't have any available people to hold the third stand, so as all professional photographers have to do, I had to problem solve and so improvised. I held the third light on the stand myself and used my Ipad to trigger the camera. INGENIOUS, wouldn't you say? Photographing athletes has its challenges, but I really enjoy it. Here's a short video from the session.
